New Façade and Café on First Street In the Historic District
Lighthouse Inn, La Conner, Washington

Lighthouse Inn, La Conner, Washington

Additions to building of an entry to the main restaurant, addition of a new café to the street side of the restaurant, and moving of the historic lighthouse to a more prominent location on the property.  The new café addition consisted of a new food line that serves sandwiches and other light foods not usually sold in the restaurant. It has seating for approximately 30 customers and is light filled with the curved skylights and large opening street front windows.  The lighthouse tower, originally moved to LaConner from Bellingham was moved on the site to allow it to more fully integrate with the existing building and the historic district.  The new entrance to the main restaurant is more spacious and noticeable from the street.  A new handicap ramp and landscape design were included in the design contract.
