Woodinville Group Home interior

Woodinville Group Home
Woodinville, Washington

The Woodinville Group Home is a group facility for juveniles who will soon be released.  The original facility had no administration space and lacked an adequate, updated kitchen as well as an adequate bathroom facility.

The design contract called for administration offices to be added to the front of the building. The administration wing included offices for Director and Social Service Administrator, Entry/Reception Space, Administrative bathroom w/shower and a Conference Room.

The original entry to the facility was remodeled to become a waiting area for visitors of the residents and allowed visual access to the interior of the facility. The kitchen was remodeled from a mostly residential type kitchen to a commercial type, complete with hood. The bathrooms were completely renovated, which included adding handicap shower facilities, increasing the number of fixtures available for residents, and making the finishes less damage prone.
