Christensen Residence - before and after.

Christensen Residence

This project was designed to give the owners more living space for entertaining and a garage/workshop off of the family room in the daylight basement.

Built as a spec house in the early 60’s, the living room was small and cramped and included a baby grand piano. The carport and rear deck had been added on by the owners and was in need of repair. The owners wanted more space on the main floor, an enclosed garage adjacent to the family room in the daylight basement, french doors from the family room to an existing ground level deck, and a smaller upper level deck that didn’t block the dramatic views of the ravine to the south.

All program requests were able to be met, the house has been stabilized on the hillside, and the addition has been exactly what the owners expected.
