Kano Residence - fireplace, before and after. The stone around the fireplace and on the hearth matches the flooring in the entry.

Kano Residence

The Kano Residence was a multi-phased project in Shoreline, Washington that updated a 1950’s tri-level daylight rambler.
The owner wanted to live in the house while the work was being done. The project was broken down into 6 phases.

The first phase was the kitchen/dining/living area. Phase two was a second bath/powder room. Phase three was the master suite. Phase four was the main entry and the living room fireplace. Phase five was the shrine/family room. Phase six was the outside of the house, the pool area and retaining walls.

Phase 7 of this project will include finishing the garden and an authentic Japanese Teahouse on the lower level of the yard.
