McCann Residence - the trellis work “Entry Gate” is the start of a landscape approach to separate the parking from the house.

McCann Residence

The addition and alterations of this house were directed to correct the tight rear entry of this 30’s house to make it the main entry. The need for another bedroom to accommodate the expanding family provided the opportunity to expand that entry, add a breakfast area and provide a generous entry porch. Also a covered walkway from the existing garage was provided.

The main floor hall leading from the new entry to the old “front door.” The door was changed to have glass allowing a view at the end of the vista. The old entry closet was changed to a display recess to end the vista of the cross walk to the Living Room.
