McNulty Residence prior to move.

McNulty Residence

This project took a 1916 Craftsman house and moved it approximately one mile in Seattle to a new location.

The house was slated for demolition but the West Seattle Thriftway listened to a request from the community to see if the house could be saved.

The 1800 SF house was moved to a new location and a 900 SF basement was added. The kitchen was gutted and enlarged, and 2 bathrooms were completely renovated, new paint inside and out and a new porch.

Additional projects completed on the house include the lifting of ceilings in the home to their original heights, box beamed ceilings in the dining room, re-tiling of the fireplace and hearth to include built-in bookcases, and finishing of the daylight basement into a family room and the addition of a third bathroom.
